The International Conference
Culture, Religion and Society (Central and Southeast Europe) from Antiquity to the Present
The conference will be held in Timisoara from 17 to 19 of May 2024
Depending on the proposals received, the themes of the sessions and their composition will be decided. The deadline for paper titles and abstracts is 20 April 2024.
Titles and abstracts of about 100-150 words should be sent to one of the following persons and email addresses: Adrian Magina (adrian.magina@e-uvt.ro), Simona Regep (simona.regep@e-uvt.ro), Adrian Cîntar (adrian.cintar@e-uvt.ro).
Each participant will be allotted 15 minutes for presentation. The language of the conference is English, except for the sessions where only Romanian participants will be present, in which case the discussions can take place in Romanian.
Proposals may include, but are not limited to the following topics:
– Communities: political, ethnic, religious situations
– Cultural interferences
– Institutional mechanisms and power relations
– Law, justice and judicial practice
– Conflicts and cohabitation
– Religion and religious developments
– Church and ecclesiastical organisation
– Exchange of ideas in a changing world: culture, education, art and heritage
– Mentalities, mobility and accessibility
